ROXFORD, OHIO

Every day, the sun rises over scenic Roxford Park, a historic landmark located in the former ridgetop village of Roxford, Ohio. It is situated atop a knoll on a ridge in rural Tuscarawas County.

Roxford Park is home to the one-room Roxford District Schoolhouse built in 1918 with locally made brick. It replaces a wood-frame school that had burned down on this same site. The exposed foundation stones from the original school that burnt and original well in the front yard are a testament to the rich history of this unique location. The schoolhouse has retained its belfry and many original features. The exterior porches and covering has been added to beautify and enhance the functionality of the schoolhouse. Visitors to Roxford Park are sure to be impressed by the breathtaking views and the architectural wonder of the largest one-room schoolhouse known.

Roxford District School served as a one-room school until 1954. Beginning in 2013, Roxford Park was created to be the home of Casella Winery and Distillery. Roxford Park has taken shape in an effort to create flat usable ground around the schoolhouse. Several excavations have produced several grand terraces and parking.
